There may be failure in love marriages, but arranged marriages are also in the same track. We find it so common in our society nowadays. One of the main reasons for the failure, which I find is the financial freedom the ladies are enjoying now. They may not tolerate the circumstances which the women of olden days used to suffer.

It was a good article. There are a lot of differences in our land. But I hope it will come to an end . may be by the next generation. The new generation doesn't give much importance to caste system. I think there will be lot of arranged marriages which are inter caste. Regarding nation we can think of Vasudaiva kudumbakom. Where ever we are, we are among humans.

It was a touching narration.
If its a story, then I won't agree with the way the 'Amma' was treated by the girl. Even if she is educated, the way the girls are brought up, do not give them the confidence to go ahead and lead one's own life. We are given some values from the family and the society which won't allow us to disobey the husband and thein-laws. If she showed the courage then she would have been killed earlier.

Thanks a lot. The article came at an apt time for me.
My kid is 3 years old. Though I try to use psycology and tact together, at times I lose my temper. She likes books and like to hear stories as well. Although she watches cartoons, she is not addicted to it. As she lives with her grand parents she likes krishna and ayyappa serials a lot. But she is crazy about computer. Not games but kids' websites with songs and puzzles.
You have put the article with such good examples, that it may be very useful to all the parents.
